Desjardins Capital, part of Desjardins, provides venture capital and growth capital to businesses in Québec. It has invested in local businesses since 1974, with a mission to support the growth and sustainability of Québec companies, and works mainly with small and medium-sized businesses at the startup, growth or transfer phase. Its financing takes two forms, equity investments and unsecured loans, with $500,000 to $65 million invested per company. It offers venture capital for startups and growth capital for later-stage companies, for projects such as acquisitions, international expansion, modernising facilities and business transfers. Alongside financing, it provides financial and strategic guidance and helps companies set up a governance model.
