BankTech Ventures is a strategic venture fund backed by community banks, investing in technology companies on community banks' priority lists. It launched in November 2021 after community bankers asked how they could invest in bank technology companies and speed up their digital transformation, and it reports that more than 100 banks have joined the fund. As of December 2024 it had made 22 investments, including SOLO, which works on credit underwriting for banks. The firm is led by managing director Carey Ransom and publishes FOMO, a monthly newsletter, alongside a Market Intelligence Hub.
