500 Global is a venture capital firm that invests from pre-seed to pre-IPO in technology companies around the world, with its flagship strategy anchored in Silicon Valley. It made its first MENA investment in 2012, in Jeeran, started deploying its first dedicated regional fund in 2017 and set up a regional headquarters in Riyadh in 2021. In MENA it has launched five dedicated funds and runs founder programmes including the Misk 500 MENA Accelerator and the Sanabil 500 MENA Seed Accelerator, the latter in partnership with Sanabil Investments. In Africa, where it made its first investment in 2011, it reports a portfolio of more than 100 Africa-headquartered companies in areas such as financial inclusion, healthcare and education. The firm also runs venture education programmes for investors, including VC Unlocked.
